According the Ville de Montreal’s latest press release, there are 111 construction projects in progress this year, amounting to a total of $ 30.9 billion in investments.
The Quebec Construction Commission recently released a list of current construction starts valued over $5 million, on the Island of Montreal.
The report reveals that:
- 47 of the construction projects are institutional buildings or commercial projects
- 41 are residential projects
- 21 are civil engineering projects
- 2 are industrial projects
- The civil engineering and road projects account for more than 54% of the total investment value of the worksites
- The largest investments in the agglomeration of Montréal were registered in the boroughs of Ville-Marie (28%), Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (6%) and Verdun (5%)
